Taking to her Twitter, Rangoli shared her displeasure over the critics for ditching films like Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi and URI: The Surgical Strike and sending Gully Boy. Further, she termed them as ‘chatukar’ and accused the makers of Gully Boy of copying from Hollywood’s 8 Mile. She wrote, “This film is based on Hollywood film 8 Mile, yahan ke movie mafia chatukar critics ke chaatne se kya hota hai, it’s not original content like Uri and Manikarnika, why Hollywood will give award to a film which is copied from their film ?”

Well, we aren’t surprised because Rangoli has often been vocal about her critique opinions towards several people, especially Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt.

Gully Boy was a Zoya Akhtar directorial, which chronicled the lives of Mumbai-based underdog rappers, and had opened to a great response. It had hit the big screens on February 14, 2019. Better luck next time, maybe!
